Le Pause ⏸️
Plus Ode to Posole is back!
So…regarding the apparent Pause…
Funny story. In 2025 me and my little family said Yes to just about everything: Toddler parenthood, more farmers markets, marathon training, a new business, house projects, more responsibilities at work, travel, etc etc etc. Then toward at the very end of the year, Jon and I shook hands and (naively lol) said Yes, let’s start the fertility process to have that second (and final) child 😏😱.
The good news: We are blessed to be pregnant! Remy will get a sibling around early September (though, if i had to guess it’ll be late August).
The bad news: That final ‘Yes’ was kinda the straw that broke the camel’s back. Instead of just our regular chaos, I was now also shouldering extreme nausea and fatigue coupled with bouts of anxiety and depression. All things that are simply untransferable to even the best of partners. (Here’s a good cackle to sum up the experience). q,.l,ozxc m∫SO, after accepting the reality that we’d flown close to the sun, it’s time for a reset.
Here’s what out for now ⛔
The Farmers Market. I still love soup, and I still love you all— I just don’t have capacity to crank it out at scale right now! Also, I forgot how nice it is to sleep in on a Saturday after a long work week.
Here’s what’s in for now 🟢
Enough soup prep to keep up stock at Low Five!
To that end, at long last—Ode to Posole is back in stock at Low Five. For those who have been asking, thank you for your patience! I know we’re finally getting some warm weather but if y’all keep showing up, I will too!
Apologies for the inadvertent ghosting but thank you for bearing with us!! If I’m being totally honest, the duality of joy and sorrow has just been one big mind fuck. To have gotten everything I wanted and immediately lament my fortune was strange and quite humbling. (Shout out to my fellow enneagram 3’s who may understand this turmoil best).
To all the child bearers who have come before me, and all those who will come after me— god bless ✊🏾.
See you all soon!
